Preliminary Task: Deconstruction of real media texts

Before I start to create my front cover and contents page for my music magazine I wanted to deconstruct a few music magazine covers to understand what techniques I'll need to use. I will incorporate basic techniques such as features/cover lines, puff, pull quote, anchor, masthead and hopefully experiment with more. The aim of my magazine cover and contents page is to present a professional and appropriate level of representation of what I think a teen 'Hip Hop' artist would look like.
